Company history

Holstein Appraisals has been serving customers in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and northern Florida since 1986.  We are a small, family-owned business.  Richard H. Holstein III founded Holstein Appraisals in 1986 after 20 years in the farm credit industry when he recognized the need for specialized appraisal services.   

 

We are located in downtown Batesburg in an historic building that once housed the Western Carolina State Bank.

 

R. H. Holstein III, ARA is accredited by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and holds General Appraisal Certification in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.  Richard H. Holstein IV, P.E. holds General Appraisal Certification in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.  He is also a registered professional engineer in several states.  Melanie S. Holstein is a Certified General Appraiser in South Carolina and holds Six Sigma certification in quality control.

 

We are registered with the Small Business Administration and the VA as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) for federal contracting purposes.
